Out&Allied, Adam Smith, MEC, 2016 Election Special Guest Speaker Greg Angelo - President of Log Cabin Republicans and Cable News Commentator

Please join Media & Entertainment Club, Out & Allied, & Adam Smith as we are excited to present to you a special Guest speaker for Election Week. Greg Angelo, President of Log Cabin Republicans, will be coming to speak to students on Tuesday, November 1st at 6:30pm in 145 Posner Hall. Log Cabin Republicans is the nation’s original and largest conservative organization that advocates for equal rights for LGBT people in the United States. Greg has frequently appeared on major cable news programs such as Hardball with Chris Matthews, Fox and Friends along with the Wall Street Journal, CNBC and many other news outlets discussing these issues and general political topics.

We will be hosting a fireside chat with Greg as club leaders from the above clubs moderate a discussion on how Greg is trying to bring about change with an organization that has traditionally opposed his mission of LGBT inclusion, the dangers of generalization, and the influence of the media on the election and of course the election itself. This event will be open to the entire Tepper community and dinner will be provided to those who RSVP before October 30th.

Following the event will be a Happy Hour with Greg to continue this discussion for Media and Entertainment, Adam Smith and Out & Allied members.
