Hello! I’m Ina (short for Czarina), partner to grad student Bogdan Michka. Bogdan and I met in Kindergarten in Oklahoma, and 25 years later after travelling the world - me through my undergraduate in Europe, him through the US NAVY - we ended up in Pittsburgh! Although my background is in Cell and Molecular Biology, I now dedicate my efforts to volunteering and what my husband likes to call “domestic engineering.”
Our initial plans were to move to Texas after Bogdan graduates, but we are liking Pittsburgh more and more, so we just might stick around! We have found a great community at Tepper and our local church, and the walkability of this city does a great job at keeping our weight and cardio health in check!
In our free time, we enjoy a good workout, game night, or hike with our giant goldendoodle, Odin. You might find me frequenting the Spanish and Salsa club, too.
