Join Professor Rousseau (Heinz & Tepper Professor) for a session on understanding change management and how to use the concepts to influence change. This session is designed to help prepare you for the human aspect of implementing change and how to build consensus and understanding within your organization.

This event is a part of the 4-part Internship Readiness series. Open to all Tepper students, this series is designed to help you succeed in your internship regardless of career path. Each session is formatted as an interactive workshop in which you will practice key skills and behaviors that will prepare and differentiate you over the summer. We encourage you to attend all four sessions, but feel free to mix and match as you see fit. We hope to see you there!

Professor Rousseau studies the changing psychological contract in employment, human resource strategies, and the effects of organizational culture on performance.

Since 1994, Professor Rousseau has been H. J. Heinz II Professor of Organizational Behavior and Public Policy at the Heinz School of Public Policy and Management; and jointly, Tepper School of Business, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was on the faculty at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, for 13 years. Previously, she taught at the University of Michigan and the Naval Postgraduate School at Monterey. She has held visiting appointments at Renmin University (Beijing), Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), and Chulalongkorn University (Bangkok).

Her books include: Psychological Contracts in Employment (Sage, with Rene Schalk); Relational Wealth: The Advantage of Stability in a Changing Economy (Oxford, with Carrie Leana); Psychological Contracts in Organizations (Sage); Boundaryless Careers: Work, Mobility, and Learning in the New Organizational Era (Oxford, with M. Arthur); Developing an Interdisciplinary Science of Organizations (Jossey-Bass, with K. Roberts and C. Hulin); and Trends in Organizational Behavior (Wiley series, with C. Cooper). She is also the author of more than 100 articles.

Her 1995 book, Psychological Contracts in Organizations, won the Academy of Management's Terry Award. The Boundaryless Career was a finalist for that award the following year. She has also been a recipient of the William A. Davis Award for scholarly research in educational administration and the National Institute for Health Care Management research award. She has been elected Fellow in the Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology and in the American Psychological Association.

Professor Rousseau received her AB in psychology and anthropology, her MA in psychology and her PhD in psychology from the University of California at Berkeley.
