[TCC] Case Workshop #1

The first of our 3-part interactive case prep series. In this session, you will workshop what is arguably the most important part of the case – understanding the problem and setting up a game plan to drive toward the answer.

Goals of the session:

1. Understand how to ask the right questions that give context about the firm, the market, the competitors, etc.
2. Practice taking an ambiguous problem and breaking it down into the key drivers and areas of exploration.
3. Receive feedback on your approach, learn ways to improve, and learn what you do that works well.

Session Format:

1. Receive prompt
2. Develop Clarifying questions
3. Brainstorm in small groups and draw out structures
4. Structure and prompt walk-through 
5. Rinse and repeat

We will also provide some examples of how we set up the problem - the takeaway here is that there are MULTIPLE ways to drive toward a solution and the focus shouldn't be on trying to memorize one specific framework.
