Allies for Gender Equity

The Allies for Gender Equity program at Tepper is a TWIB initiative designed to foster better leadership capabilities within the Tepper community and beyond. Our goal is to bring differing perspectives on gender together in order to grow our understanding of essential leadership tools and advance gender equity + equality.

We aim to:

  • Understand of the experiences of classmates and coworkers
  • Support and reinforce female colleagues
  • Learn to communicate effectively and intervene if necessary
  • Recognize unconscious and systematic bias
  • Help others grow and in turn, grow our own network

What is it?

The Tepper Allies for Gender Equity program provides a launchpad for growth by engaging with complex issues of gender inequality, bias, and behavioral dynamics in the classroom and workplace. Participants will gain the skills necessary to be effective, empathetic leaders. Plainly, we encourage allyship. The Allies program material is designed to analyze research, literature, and anecdotal evidence in order to think critically on how to build a stronger work environment.

Why Participate?

Recruiters consistently look for good communicators with intangible leadership skills. The Allies for Gender Equity program will equip participants with the relevant knowledge to meet and exceed the needs of firms and answer recruiters’ wishes.
