Our mission is to (1) connect MBA students, industry professionals and Carnegie Mellon's energy innovation programs to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and (2) provide our members with the resources to learn, network and succeed in careers in the rapidly-evolving energy and cleantech landscapes.   • Academics

    The Energy and Sustainability Track brings together the Tepper School’s path-breaking approach to business education with Carnegie Mellon’s core strength in engineering to provide graduates with the ability to become leaders in a business environment.

  • Professional Development

    The Tepper Masters Career Center is ranked by Tepper School students and alumni among the leading MBA career centers in the world and helps students prepare and recruit for roles in the energy and cleantech space, including resume review, job specific coaching, and mock interviews.

    In addition, the Energy and CleanTech Club provides resources such as a job and internship database, alumni connections, and mentorship opportunities to fully equip members with the tools needed to succeed in their careers.

  • Industry Exposure

    • The Energy and CleanTech Club invites companies and leaders in renewable development, venture capital, and more to speak on current topics and industry trends.
    • ECTC members are also actively involved in energy case competitions with other universities and organizations, including Tepper's own Tepper CleanTech Case Competition (TC3).
    • Career Treks allow members to visit and network with leading companies in the industry. Previous treks included trips to Boston, MA and Austin, TX to visit companies such as Orsted, Recurrent Energy, Schneider Electric, and more.

    The CMU Scott Institute for Energy Innovation also hosts a Distinguished Lecture series with executives and thought leaders, to provide students with a holistic understanding of the industry's challenges and opportunities. Learn more about the CMU Scott Institute for Energy Innovation here.
